Caliber Collision Centers Promotes Bill Lawrence to President and Chief Operating Officer

IRVINE, Calif.-- Caliber Collision Centers has announced the promotion of Bill Lawrence to president and chief operating officer for the Irvine-based operator of high-quality collision repair facilities in California and Texas.

During the past three years, Caliber has grown from four to 36 centers with annual revenues exceeding $140 million. According to Matthew Ohrnstein, chief executive officer, Lawrence has been key to the success.

"Fundamental to Caliber Collision Centers' success over the past few years has been Bill's leadership in directing the development of our operator-focused infrastructure that effectively supports the field operations in delivery of quality repairs, claim support services, and exceptional customer service.

"Bill's background as a senior claims officer, combined with his in-depth knowledge of the collision repair industry, strategic vision and team-oriented, practical approach uniquely positions him for this senior leadership role. This promotion further recognizes Bill for his leadership operating the largest independent provider of collision repair services in North America."

Lawrence, a resident of Corona del Mar, Calif., joined Caliber in 1998 as senior vice president. Prior to joining Caliber, Lawrence, a 28-year veteran of Allstate Insurance, was an architect and corporate strategist responsible for its Pro Shop direct repair network, as well as the executive in charge of physical damage claims.

He also served as president of Tech Cor, a subsidiary that included a state-of-the-art collision repair and research center. Lawrence is an active participant in numerous industry groups, including his current role as chairman of the I-CAR Education Foundation.

As president and chief operation officer, Lawrence will have responsibility for all of Caliber's collision repair operations, client services, information technology, acquisition integration as well as other associated corporate support functions.

Founded in 1991, with headquarters in Irvine, Caliber Collision Centers operates high-quality collision repair facilities in California and Texas.

Caliber currently owns and operates 36 facilities and plans to continue acquiring, developing and integrating high-volume collision repair centers while providing innovative collision repair solutions and automobile physical damage claims support.
