Boyd Achieves North America's First ISO Multi-Site Registration in Automotive Collision Repair

WINNIPEG -- The Boyd Group Inc., operating principally as Boyd Autobody & Glass, has announced that it has been granted The International Standards Organization (ISO) Multi-Site Registration for its Canadian operations (37 company owned locations). A comprehensive audit process conducted by Deloitte & Touche Quality Registrar Inc. has verified the effectiveness of The Boyd Quality System as it relates to quality repairs, employee training, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Boyd's current ISO achievement is an extension of an initiative that began more than three years ago when Boyd's King Edward Street facility located in Winnipeg, Manitoba became the first full service automotive collision repair facility in North America to attain ISO Registration. Boyd once again has established a new benchmark for the industry by becoming North America's first multi-site automotive collision repair organization to gain ISO Multi-Site Registration.

Lead Auditor for Deloitte & Touche, David Uhrich, reported: "Boyd's commitment to continuous improvement through its Quality System is impressively evidenced by solid implementation and enthusiastic participation of both production and management staff within the organization."

"Our management and production staff have once again met the challenge, and 'raised the bar' in the automotive collision repair industry," commented Brock Bulbuck, Boyd's Senior Vice President and COO. "Gaining qualified, independent third party verification of the effectiveness of our quality standards throughout our organization, coupled with an effective process for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, most certainly adds to our growing list of points of difference."

The Boyd Group Inc. currently operates 55 company owned locations with annualized revenues of approximately $110 million (Cdn.). It is the largest operator of collision repair shops in Canada and is among the largest in North America. In addition to its company owned locations, Boyd also has seven third party owned licensed locations operating under its trade names. Boyd continues to successfully carry out its proven strategy of acquiring additional company owned locations as part of its plan to be a leader in the consolidation of the highly fragmented North American collision repair industry, recently estimated to be approximately $40 billion (Cdn.) in annual revenue.
