Caliber Collision Centers Acquires Beny Canela Auto Body in the Coachella Valley

IRVINE, Calif. -- Caliber Collision Centers, an Irvine-based consolidator of collision repair facilities in California and Texas, has acquired Beny Canela Auto Body, a leading collision repair service providers in Indio, California.

The addition of Beny Canela Auto Body extends Caliber's position as the largest collision repair provider in California with 29 centers and as the largest independently operated collision repair organization in the United States with annual revenues exceeding $158 million.

Established in 1978, Beny Canela Auto Body is a 15,000 square-foot facility that provides high-quality collision repair and factory precision unibody repair. Current shop manager, Debbie Strboya, will continue as the center manager for Caliber, leading the effort to provide the same level of customer satisfaction that the facility has spent the past 23 years developing.

"We're excited to be a part of the Caliber team," said Strboya. "Our commitment is to deliver a quality product on a consistent basis with customer respect and satisfaction."

According to Ed Medvic, vice president of corporate development for Caliber, Beny Canela Auto Body is a valuable addition to the rapidly growing Caliber family.

"This acquisition further increases Caliber's presence in the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley area, bringing our total locations to three," said Medvic. "Beny Canela Auto Body is an excellent addition to our other centers with strong dedicated employees and a large facility well-suited for rapid growth."

Founded in 1991, with headquarters in Irvine, Caliber Collision Centers operates high-quality collision repair facilities in California and Texas. Caliber currently owns and operates 52 facilities and plans to continue acquiring, developing and integrating high-volume collision repair centers while providing innovative collision repair solutions and automobile physical damage claims support.
