Boyd Group Acquires Rush's Collision and Safety Center in Flagstaff, Arizona

Winnipeg, Manitoba -- The Boyd Group, Inc., operating principally as Boyd Autobody & Glass, has announced that it has purchased the shares of Rush's Collision and Safety Center, Inc., a high volume collision repair business in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Rush's annual revenues were approximately $2,650,000 Cdn for its fiscal year ending November 30, 2000. When combined with existing operations, this acquisition will increase Boyd's overall annualized sales to approximately $113,000,000 Cdn, of which approximately 56 percent will be derived from U.S. operations. The purchase price for Rush's, an established leader in its market, was undisclosed.

Boyd's now operates 56 company-owned locations and has seven third-party owned licensed locations operating under its tradenames. The largest operator of collision repair shops in Canada, Boyd now owns 19 facilities in the U.S., three of which are located in Arizona.
