Business Tools | Thursday March 8 ComCept Solutions Moves to St PetersburgSt Petersburg, FL - ComCept Solutions is in the process of relocating its headquarters from Winston-Salem, North Carolina to a new office location in St Petersburg, Florida. The move is concurrent with the company’s redevelopment of its distribution management system and situates the company in the same building as its development partner, NetWise Technology. "The move positions ComCept for the future," said Glenn Atwell, ComCept’s president. "Our solid relationship with NetWise is the key in this strategic move. Not only is NetWise providing us with leading-edge development resources, but the move allows the companies to share infrastructure and personnel to better meet clients’ needs. The office space in St Petersburg’s beautiful Dome District is just a bonus." Late last year, ComCept Solutions announced that it is redeveloping its distribution management system to take advantage of emerging Internet technologies. The new system called ComCept .Net (pronounced "ComCept Dot Net") is built specifically for Automotive Refinish Paint Distributors (Jobbers), an industry that ComCept has specialized in since 1983. This is the second major development initiative between ComCept and NetWise. The first produced OrderLinx, an Internet-based order management system that allows body shops to place online orders directly to the distributor. "We are very excited to have an important client like ComCept as our neighbor," said Randy Wadle, the NetWise CEO. "This affirms our companies’ commitment to work together well into the future." ComCept Solutions has been providing software tools for Automotive Refinish Paint Distributors since 1983. The company now has over 500 installations of its distribution management system in Jobbers across the country, and is under contract with FinishMaster, the consolidator of refinish paint distributors, to provide its stores with point-of-sale software. ©2000 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED INSIGHT Supports the NABC! |
