Business Tools | Monday April 16 Ensera Announces New Release of Internet Enabled Collision Repair Management SystemREDWOOD SHORES, Calif. -- Ensera, a technology company that delivers business process automation to facilitate inter-enterprise commerce and communication among commercial participants in the automotive claims industry, has announced the immediate availability of the latest release of its collision repair management system, iON Control Version 4. Originally introduced at NACE 2000, iON Control provides a simple user interface that integrates with all major estimating systems as well as insurance communications, imaging, and accounting. iON Control is based on all available CIECA data formats, continuing Ensera's commitment to open system standards for the collision repair industry. Some of the industry-leading features of iON Control Version 4 include: Web-Based Status Updating -- The production module of iON Control captures vehicle repair status data systematically as the job progresses. When used in conjunction with Ensera's iON Connection imaging and Internet communications solution, repair status can be made available to customers, insurers, rental agencies, and others via the repair facilities website that is hosted by Ensera. Automatic Parts Price Increase Supplements -- iON Control V4 provides the ability to automatically update the estimating system with parts price increase supplements without extra data entry. iON Control uses the CIECA standard for parts price increase supplements to update any estimating software that uses the CIECA supplement import standards. Automated Estimating System Reconciliation -- iON Control V4 can eliminate the time consuming process of reconciling the estimating system with the management system while closing a job. The reconciliation module pinpoints differences between the estimating system and the repair job in the management software. Electronic Parts Ordering -- iON Control V4 provides the ability to order and receive and return parts, as well as provide supplements via the phone, fax, or Internet. Real Time Job Profit Analysis -- The software tracks how the job is progressing financially before it is completed. Open Systems Integration -- iON Control integrates with many standard industry applications including the major estimating systems and QuickBooks Pro accounting. The Fireman's Fund Insurance Company has entered into an agreement in which Ensera will develop and provide certain of its products and services to Fireman's Fund's automobile physical damage claims operation. Products to be developed and licensed pursuant to the agreement include Ensera's Initial Claims Processing (ICP) suite and the iON Connection imaging and communications application. The agreement also calls for the development and license of Ensera's iON Cashflow, an automated payment processing system. ©2000 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED INSIGHT Supports the NABC! |
