Business Tools | Thursday May 10 Mitchell International Announces Plans to Develop a Quickbooks Interface for Its ABS SystemSAN DIEGO -- Mitchell International has announced plans to develop an interface between its ABS Body Shop Management System and QuickBooks®, the best-selling small business accounting and financial management software from Intuit Corp. ABS is a collision repair industry's Windows(TM)-based solution for increasing efficiency and profitability by automating many shop management functions. According to Mitchell, ABS currently has 70 percent of the market. "The interface will save users time by eliminating hours of duplicate data entry and data errors," said Paul Gange, Mitchell's vice president of product management. "It will also allow users to export sales, invoice and credit information from ABS to QuickBooks, which also increases efficiencies." QuickBooks, along with ABS, can be customized to produce a variety of user interfaces and reports to meet the individual needs of shops. In addition to basic accounting, QuickBooks offers a variety of other services such as on-line banking. ABS already interfaces with Lawson and MAS90 accounting systems and BusinessWorks(TM) accounting software to transfer Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable entries, which post to journals in the General Ledger. The ABS system offers users a complete, proven solution for collision repair shop management on the market today. ABS enables shops to import estimates and supplements, maximize labor efficiencies, simplify parts management, more efficiently track sales performance, quantify marketing efforts and to produce management reports and professional financial statements. ©2000 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED INSIGHT Supports the NABC! |
