Bell & Howell Promotes Ty Young to New Executive Position

CLEVELAND -- Richfield, Ohio-based Bell & Howell Publishing Services, a subsidiary of ProQuest Company, has named Ty Young to the newly created position of vice president, Publishing Operations. Young was previously director, Electronic Publishing Operations, a position he held since 1993.

In his new position, Young adds the responsibility for managing the electronic and microfilm publishing operations of the company's Media Solutions business unit. Young will continue to oversee the automotive and powersports publishing operations at Bell & Howell Publishing Services' Wooster, Ohio, facility.

"Ty brings a wealth of operational experience and a significant track record of achievements to this new position. He is an effective leader, a strong customer advocate and a true team player," said Lee Poseidon, senior vice president and general manager, Bell & Howell Publishing Services' Global Automotive unit.

Young joined Bell & Howell in 1991 as manager, Electronic Publishing, with primary responsibility for the company's rapidly growing automotive electronic parts catalog business. Before that he spent 10 years in various management positions at British Petroleum Co., including manager of corporate information and records management. Young holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University.
