DuPont developed the courses based on strict original equipment manufacturer performance requirements for refinishing. Commenting on the Training Alliance, Roger Foss, chairman of the board of I-CAR, said, "We feel this is an important step toward achieving I-CAR's stated mission, which is to insure every person in the collision industry has the necessary knowledge and skills relevant to their position to insure a safe and complete repair. We're very pleased to have quality training providers like DuPont as partners in this effort." Added Steffen Apollo, national training manager for DuPont: "Our partnership with I-CAR should provide further incentive for technicians to complete these courses and thereby increase their skills and professionalism." The objective of the DuPont ChromaSystem® Certification course is to instruct and assess the refinish technician's knowledge and ability in the areas of shop safety, paint application, blending, detailing, measuring film build, and plastic refinishing.
