Business Tools | Monday August 6 NABC Calls for PRIDE Award NominationsSt. Charles, IL -- The National Auto Body Council seeks nominations from individuals within the collision repair industry for its annual Pride Awards. Started in 1995, the PRIDE Award program is designed to recognize businesses, individuals, and groups who distinguish themselves and the industry by performing humanitarian and/or service deeds outside of their normal job responsibilities. Since the beginning of this award, 34 individuals and companies have been honored for their charitable work. Among the achievements and good works earning recognition in the past have been helping turn in a hit and run driver to the police, fund raising events for Toys for Tots, an Adopt-A-School program, organizing dental clinics for children in Mexican villages, raising funds for a Children's Hospital, and donating a kidney to a loved one. Because there are many in the industry who are worthy of this type of recognition, it is the PRIDE Award Committee's desire to seek as many nominations as possible. To be eligible, the individual, groups or business must be employed in some aspect of the collision repair industry. This would include body and paint shops, vehicle manufacturers, manufacturers of paint, parts, equipment and supplies, information providers, insurance companies, independent adjusters, trade associations, consultants, trade journals, training organizations, etc. Candidates may nominate themselves. All nominations are due to the NABC by October 12, 2001. The award winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges representing a cross section of the various industry segments and appointed by the NABC Board of Directors. The 2001 National PRIDE Award winners will be formally recognized at the Collision Industry Night of Achievement held November 28, 2001 in Las Vegas. "There are great people in our industry that apply themselves and their organizations to deserving causes" said Stacy Bartnik of Carter & Carter International, Chairman of the PRIDE awards committee. "The NABC wants to recognize these people and give them the credit they deserve. These are the people that take time from their already busy schedule to help in their communities. What better time to recognize these people then at the industry Night of Achievement held this year at NACE in Las Vegas?" Nomination forms can be downloaded at the NABC web site, or can be requested by calling 888-667-7433. ©2000 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED INSIGHT Supports the NABC! |
