eAutoclaims, Parts.com, and Keystone Automotive Industries Launch Parts Procurement and Extraction Software to Facilitate Collision Parts Sales in California

PALM HARBOR, Fla., and SANFORD, Fla. -- eAutoclaims, Parts.com, Inc. , and Keystone Automotive Industries have announced that they began moving claims through TradeMotion(TM) RAPTOR version 1.0 last week.

Under the terms of the agreement between Parts.com and eAutoclaims, Parts.com worked closely with eAutoclaims' IT department to develop an application called RAPTOR, using "pick tickets" from open repair claims in the eAutoclaims network. Currently, eAutoclaims electronically translates all of its member body shops claims information into a standard format for auditing purposes. This electronic data is simultaneously copied into the RAPTOR server for procurement. The eAutoclaims staff notifies the local body shop creating the claims estimate via automated instant messaging and/or email with a hot link to the ready-made order, then organizes and scrubs collision data into a procurement and reporting tool for body shops. This allows the repair shops to place orders without having to re-key any parts data, and the repair shops can specify which parts they already have in stock and remove those parts from the ticket. The network shops can place an order for local delivery with a single click. The revenue sharing partnership is geared to keep costs down, with greater discounts off wholesale pricing from Keystone Auto Parts warehouses and OEM dealership's parts departments that have distribution agreements with Parts.com and eAutoclaims for the local delivery of new OEM and aftermarket parts.
