Gerber Auto Collision & Glass Opens in Crystal Lake, IL

Gerber Auto Collision & Glass, a Skokie, IL based operator of collision repair facilities in Chicagoland, has opened a new facility in Crystal Lake, IL. The addition of this site extends Gerber's position as the largest collision repair provider in the Chicagoland metropolitan area.

Gerber opened the Crystal Lake facility in direct response to the request of Gerber's insurance partners who identified an immediate need for additional high-quality collision repair in the McHenry County area. This new facility includes 20,000 square feet of capacity. Neal Gerber, President of Gerber Auto Collision & Glass said, "It is Gerber's plan to open dozens of additional locations in the coming years."

Enoch Dobner, with over 25 years collision repair experience, has joined Gerber as General Manager of the Crystal Lake facility. He emphasizes consistently delivered strong cycle-time results, along with high levels of customer satisfaction. "I am excited to be a part of the Gerber team," said Enoch. "Gerber's commitment is to deliver a quality product on a consistent basis earning our customers' complete satisfaction."

Gerber Auto Collision & Glass started in the auto glass business in 1937 and opened its first collision repair service centers in 1978. The company is the largest automotive restoration business in the Chicago metropolitan area, operating from ten service centers with over 320,000 square feet of production space and hundreds of trained, qualified technicians. Gerber is projected to generate CY 2001 revenues of nearly $45 million.
