Automotive Recyclers Association Convention Set for October

Fairfax, Virginia -- The automotive recycling industry's biggest event, the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) 58th Annual Convention and Exposition, will be held this year in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, October 10-13, 2001.

Approximately 1,500 ARA members and other professionals in the automotive recycling industry will be on hand for the event featuring a wide range of non-stop educational seminars, industry roundtables, focus groups, and a variety of entertainment and non-business activities for attendees and their families.

ARA has designed educational seminars for ARA's convention that will cover many of the most important trends and challenges facing automotive recycling professionals, including consolidation, hazardous materials shipping, new technologies, and e-commerce. ARA's annual convention is widely recognized as the best place to network, acquire skills, and access the information and products needed to maintain a competitive edge. With so many professional auto recyclers participating, this year's theme, "Destination Success" is sure to become a reality for their businesses. "It is important for recyclers to attend these types of meetings to keep up to date on the latest issues effecting our industry", said ARA President, Herb Lieberman. "We are pleased that year after year, people continue to become more and more interested in attending the ARA Convention," he added.

Last year's exposition, held in St. Louis, Missouri, was the biggest ARA exposition ever, overselling for the first time. Over 95 companies packed the exhibit hall. The large number of attendees and exhibitors from as far away as England shows the tremendous international scope and drawing power of this event.

Founded in 1943, the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) has represented an industry dedicated to the efficient removal and reuse of automotive parts, and the proper disposal of inoperable motor vehicles. With programs such as the Certified Automotive Recycler Program (CAR) and other partnerships with automotive manufacturers, automotive recycling will continue to provide consumers with quality, low cost alternatives for vehicle replacement parts, while preserving our environment for a "greener" tomorrow.
