ASA Makes "Not-included" Reference Charts Available

BEDFORD, TEXAS -- The Automotive Service Association (ASA) Collision Division Operations Committee recently updated its highly popular "Reference Chart of Not-included Operations in Collision Estimating Guides."

A new business tool, "Reference Chart of Not-included Operations when Installing a Recyclable Part," has also been added as a business tool available from ASA.

The two charts identify operations involved in repairing a vehicle. When a repairer receives an insurer's estimate written on an estimating system the shop does not use, "not-included" repair operations may be overlooked. The charts will help shops make certain all necessary repair procedures are performed and that they are paid for those procedures which may be "not-included" on the estimating system used by the insurer.

National members of the ASA collision division have received free copies of both charts. Additional copies may be purchased for $5 for one chart, or $7.50 for both. Non-members may obtain one of the charts for $10, or both for $15.

Collision repair professionals may request copies by calling ASA at (800) 272-7467, ext. 229.
