Travelers Offers Real-time Single-entry, Multiple-company Capability for Independent Agents Quoting Personal Auto Insurance

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Travelers has announced its capability for real-time single-entry, multiple-company interface (SEMCI) to quote personal auto insurance policies. This capability, based on ACORD standards, will enable agents to quote an auto insurance policy in real-time directly from their Applied Systems agency management system.

"Travelers is dedicated to supporting our independent agents in their efforts to grow their business by providing them with a host of innovative technology solutions," said Clyde Fitch, President of Agency Operations and Sales for Personal Lines. "Travelers has been at the forefront of the effort to bring SEMCI solutions to agents. Real-time SEMCI quoting capability will offer agents another robust automation option."

Travelers has also added new functionality to its batch-SEMCI process by launching an auto policy change capability that enables agents to implement a policy change from within their agency management system.

"We think it's very important to be able to transact business with our agents in the manner that is most convenient and cost-effective for them," said Mr. Fitch.
