Penske Auto Centers Announces Opening of Penske Express Centers

TROY, Mich. -- Penske Auto Centers has announced the opening of two Penske Express Service Centers located in Ionia, Mich., and Cambridge, Ohio. Jim Wheat, President and CEO stated, "In developing our future store development and long-term growth strategy, we recognized that our customers demand high-quality coupled with convenience and flexibility. That's why partnering with Kmart's new KExpress convenience stores made perfect sense for our Company's future growth."

Each facility is comprised of four service bays and will offer customers services such as:

  • Speedlane Express Oil changes featuring Mobil Oil -- Guaranteed in 30 minutes or it's free
  • Preventative Fluid Maintenance such as radiator and transmission fluid exchanges
  • Goodyear and Penske Tires, Wheel alignment and balancing
  • Champion Brand Batteries

"The new Penske Express facilities offer customers a menu of quick, convenient auto services and products with the same high-quality performance they've come to expect from Penske Auto Centers," Wheat said. "We're confident that these type of Express centers will be well received by the consumer."

In addition, the company is opening its first stand-alone Penske Auto Center in Ft. Myers, Florida on November 29.

"In light of the current economic environment, I'm truly pleased that we have been successful in moving forward with our long-term plans," said Wheat. "These new stores are testimony that we are on-track to achieving our business objectives and maintaining our leadership position as an automotive service provider.
