OEConnection Partners with Wholesale Parts Group One

RICHFIELD, Ohio -- OEConnection has announced a collaborative relationship with Wholesale Parts Group One (WPG). Under the arrangement, WPG member dealerships will provide ideas and feedback to OEConnection regarding current and future products that will enhance productivity in the automotive parts department.

WPG is an exclusive forum, comprised of about 16 dealerships, representing some of the largest GM and Ford wholesale parts selling operations in the United States. The group meets three to four times a year to explore cutting edge concepts, best practices, and discuss parts business trends. OEConnection will participate in the WPG meetings to gather direct dealership feedback.

OEConnection is the new venture created by DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Bell & Howell that provides automotive dealerships and their wholesale parts customers with eCommerce products and services for their parts and service information needs.

"Maximizing parts sales, quality customer service, and minimizing operating costs drive Wholesale Parts Group One's charter," said Kevin Weidinger, OEConnection Vice President, Sales and National Accounts. "OEConnection's eCommerce portfolio of products is designed to give subscribing dealerships the tools to facilitate all three objectives."

"CollisionLink(TM)'s parts scrubbing engine saves my counterman time processing parts orders from our collision shop customers," stated Steve Jacobs, Parts Manager, Jacobs Twin Buick in Chicago, IL. "We can focus more on superior service and delivery, and CollisionLink(TM) is a tool that helps us achieve both," continued Jacobs.

"CollisionLink will help us grow our parts wholesale business without expanding our headcount,'' commented Billy Maxwell, Parts Manager for Kinsel Ford in Beaumont, Texas. "Processing orders by way of CollisionLink(TM) is more efficient than conventional phone and fax orders allowing us to receive and respond more efficiently to our collision shop customers," continued Maxwell. "CollisionLink also easily accommodates multi-franchise parts operations through a common interface and password."

CollisionLink(TM) enables collision shops to electronically submit parts orders to their parts supplying automotive dealerships. CollisionLink(TM) scrubs the parts order for accuracy and completeness, enabling the dealership to respond more quickly and comprehensively in providing parts for collision repairs.
