In a press conference at the International Autobody Congress and Exhibition (NACE) show, the company detailed incentives being provided to collision shops for participating in, and increasing their usage of, CollisionLink(TM)'s online parts ordering capabilities. OEConnection will award a DaimlerChrysler, Ford and GM truck to three grand prizewinners between now and October of 2002. A Ford truck will be awarded first on April 01, 2002, then a Chrysler truck on July 01, 2002 and finally a GM truck on October 08, 2002. Collision shops will receive an entry to win a truck by becoming a CollisionLink(TM) user, and will receive additional entries for each completed parts order placed by using CollisionLink(TM). Alternative entry by mail is also available. Additionally, OEConnection announced a loyalty rewards points program for CollisionLink(TM) users for the first quarter of 2002. Every completed parts order will accrue an awards point. When collision shops reach the 10, 30 and 80 parts order levels, they will receive an awards card, redeemable at one of five national retailers, with a dollar value equal to the number of transactions completed. "Our objective is to support and drive the national rollout of CollisionLink(TM), and show our commitment to implementing a product with real value for the collision industry," stated Chuck Rotuno, President and CEO of OEConnection. "We also want to reward frequent product usage, knowing that once collision shops experience the advantages of CollisionLink(TM) they will adopt this new online technology for the long term," continued Rotuno. CollisionLink(TM) enables collision shops to electronically submit parts orders to their parts supplying automotive dealerships. CollisionLink(TM) scrubs the parts order for accuracy and completeness, enabling the dealership to respond more quickly and comprehensively in providing parts for collision repairs. CollisionLink(TM) is now available nationally to dealerships and collision shops. OEConnection, based in northeastern Ohio, is the venture created by DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Bell & Howell to provide automotive dealerships and their wholesale customers an e-commerce suite of products and services for their parts and service information needs. ©2000 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED INSIGHT Supports the NABC! |
