Business Tools | Monday December 10 Insurance Auto Auctions Announces Opening of Greenfield Facility in Longview, TexasSCHAUMBURG, Ill. -- Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. has announced the opening of a new greenfield facility in Longview, Texas. The new 10-acre facility services Eastern Texas and Western Louisiana, including Shreveport, Bosier City, and Monroe. The Longview facility is also IAA's seventh in Texas and, together with the recent acquisition in Austin, improves IAA's ability to service clients on both a local and regional basis. Among other key benefits, the Longview facility will eliminate the need to tow Eastern Texas vehicles to the Dallas facility, thus helping to minimize towing expenses and improving operating efficiency. It will also serve as a platform from which to expand market share in that section of the state. "The expansion in Texas through our new Longview facility will allow us to service Eastern Texas vehicles more cost effectively while expanding existing client commitments to increase unit volume in that part of the state," said Tom O'Brien, Chief Executive Officer. "As we continue with our planned growth strategy, we will continue to strategically target new areas that can leverage existing operations." Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc. currently has 61 sites across the United States. ©2000 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED INSIGHT Supports the NABC! |
