FinishMaster Announces Acquisition of Scotty's Paint Supply, Inc. in Tampa

INDIANAPOLIS -- FinishMaster, Inc. has acquired Scotty's Paint Supply, Inc. effective December 17, 2001. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, Scotty's consists of three locations in the Tampa market. The acquisition of Scotty's in Florida will increase FinishMaster's market presence in these existing markets.

"We are pleased to add Scotty's to continue the growth of FinishMaster in Florida. This is consistent with our overall strategy of growth through acquisitions, as well as increasing our base business," stated Wes Dearbaugh, President and Chief Operating Officer.

"FinishMaster set out to think nationally and act locally in providing good service to our customers. Scotty's' good people and customer base enables FinishMaster to further its quest to serve the collision repair and paint markets. The journey we embarked on five years ago continues," said Andre B. Lacy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

FinishMaster is a national independent distributor of automotive paints, coatings, and related accessories to the automotive collision repair industry. FinishMaster is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana and operates three major distribution centers and 158 branches in 25 of the 35 largest metropolitan areas in the country.
