Boyd Group Adds 5th Georgia Location

Winnipeg, Manitoba -- The Boyd Group Inc. has purchased the shares of Car-Tech of Douglasville, Inc., which operates a collision repair facility in metro Atlanta, Georgia.

Operationally, Douglasville represents a strategic fit with Boyd's four existing Car-Tech locations in Atlanta, which were purchased in March 2001.

Revenue from Douglasville is projected at approximately $5.6 million (Cdn) for fiscal year 2002. When combined with existing operations, Douglasville is expected to increase Boyd's overall annualized sales to approximately $152 million (Cdn), of which approximately 66% will be derived from U.S. operations.

With the addition of Douglasville, The Boyd Group Inc. now operates 66 company owned locations. It is the largest operator of collision repair shops in Canada and is among the largest in North America. In addition to its company owned locations, Boyd also has seven third party owned licensed locations operating under its tradenames.
