PPG Will Not Exhibit at Nace 2002

Strongsville, OHIO -- PPG Automotive Refinish will not exhibit at the NACE (National Autobody Congress and Exposition) 2002 show, scheduled for Dallas, Texas this December.

"This decision was not undertaken lightly and only concerns the 2002 show," said Bill Shaw, director of marketing for North America. "We will continue to review our strategies on an annual basis, however, economic conditions in 2002 require PPG to look more closely at these types of events."

"This decision is in no way a reflection on ASA," Shaw added. "We will continue to support that organization as we have in the past."

This completes the list of major automotive refinish manufacturers that have decided to skip the annual NACE show in 2002, scheduled in Dallas. Akzo Nobel, Sherwin-Williams, and DuPont Performance Coatings have already bowed out.
