With the addition of this 12-acre green-field facility Copart now has 89 locations in 40 states. "We started looking for a location in Maine over two years ago at the request of our suppliers. We've been through lengthy permitting and construction phases to establish this new facility. Before this facility opened we were serving the area out of our North Boston site, which is over two hours away during commute times." Copart, founded in 1982, provides vehicle suppliers, primarily insurance companies, with a full range of services to process and sell salvage vehicles through auctions, principally to licensed vehicle dismantlers, rebuilders, repair licensees and used vehicle dealers. It also provides services in other locations through its national network of independent salvage vehicle processors. ©2002 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED INSIGHT Supports the NABC! |
