Business Tools | Monday April 1 Allianz Canada Adds Mitchell International's Estimating Products, with French Language Enhancements, into QuebecMitchell International and Allianz Canada, one of Canada's ten largest insurance companies, have announced the expansion of Mitchell's estimating system into the insurer's Quebec operations. Allianz Canada will use Mitchell's UltraMate Version 4.7, which includes French language enhancements. With the addition of Quebec, Allianz Canada now uses Mitchell's UltraMate across Canada. Mitchell has provided Allianz Canada with products to improve claims management since 1997. Along with UltraMate, Allianz Canada will also use Mitchell's ImageMate, which combines digital photo images and other attachments into one file for delivery to a business partner, as part of the Allianz Advantage Direct Repair Program in Quebec. Bob Jewett, Allianz Canada's senior vice president of claims, said Mitchell's latest enhancements to its UltraMate estimating product, including expanded French language capabilities, will enable the full benefits of the Mitchell products to be realized on a national basis. Marc Brungger, Mitchell's vice president of Global Operations, commented, "The decision by Allianz Canada further validates Mitchell's decision to meet the specific needs of French-speaking insurers and body shops through the addition of our recent French language enhancements." Allianz Canada, the Canadian subsidiary of Allianz AG, has total assets in excess of $1.5 billion, more than 654,000 policyholders across the country and handles about 92,000 claims annually. Mitchell International, founded in 1946 and headquartered in San Diego, California, is a provider of information software and e-business solutions for the insurance and collision repair industries.
