Pep Boys Adds William Leonard to Board of Directors

The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack, a leading full service automotive aftermarket chain, has announced that William Leonard, 54, President and Chief Operating Officer -ARAMARK, has been added to its Board of Directors.

On March 26, 2002, Pep Boys announced that Peter A. Bassi, President - Tricon Restaurants International, a division of Tricon Global Restaurants; Jane Scaccetti, Shareholder -Drucker & Scaccetti, P.C., business, tax and financial advisors; and John T. Sweetwood, President - The Americas, Six Continents Hotels, PLC were added to the company's Board of Directors. Pep Boys also announced that Lennox K. Black, 72, a director since 1987, will retire from its Board of Directors on May 29, 2002, the date of the company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
