DuPont Kansai Automotive Coatings Receives Honda Production Support Award

Honda of America Mfg. has named DuPont Kansai Automotive Coatings the recipient of its 2002 Production Support Award. The award recognizes DuPont's continuous production support of Honda's electrocoat program.

DuPont, which supplies the majority of topcoats for Honda manufacturing operations in North America, has converted one of Honda's electrocoat tanks to a lead-free product. This enhanced Honda's "green" image and produced significant savings.

DuPont will convert two additional e-coat tanks to a lead-free product by the end of 2002. DuPont also was recognized for exceeding Honda expectations for support from both a plant and laboratory function.
