Business Tools | Tuesday May 7 CARSTAR Acquires Topeka Area Collision Repair FacilitiesCARSTAR has announced the acquisition of two collision repair facilities in Topeka, Kansas, bringing their total number of company locations to 18 in the Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska region. The two facilities are former CARSTAR franchise locations owned by Walt Sullivan. "We were very pleased to acquire two state-of-the-art repair facilities with consistently high sales volume, strong insurance relations and a solid customer base," said George Hansen, CARSTAR Chief Executive Officer. "Our long-range strategic plans call for continued expansion of company-owned stores in key markets, and the acquisition of these Topeka stores located on the west and north sections of town complements our existing company store in downtown Topeka and gives us a significant presence in this area." Dan Bailey, CARSTAR Vice President of Operations, added, "We expect the new facilities to transition to corporate systems and procedures relatively quickly because the stores were formerly CARSTAR franchises. In addition, Walt Sullivan's skilled staff will remain with the company and offer valuable assistance in the conversion process." With over 300 locations across North America, the CARSTAR managed repair network generates annual repair revenue in excess of $375 million. ©2002 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED INSIGHT Supports the NABC! |
