Sterling Opens Sterling Express Facility in Mentor, Ohio

Sterling Collision Centers has announced the opening of its first "Express" location in Mentor, Ohio.

"Our strategy with the Sterling Express locations is to create a convenient neighborhood location, making it easy to do business with Sterling. You don't have to drive far, the hours are convenient and we'll even pick up and deliver your car," says Sterling's chief executive Jon McNeill. "We tested the concept in several markets and this will now be a key part of our future growth strategy."

The Mentor store is located just northeast of downtown Cleveland, and is Sterling's sixth location in the greater Cleveland region.

The new Sterling Express Store is designed to be a convenient estimating and drop-off facility that supports the five existing Sterling stores in Cleveland. Lauren Angie, Regional Director in the Cleveland Market, says, "Our Mentor Express Store is intended to be an easily accessible place for our customers to get a quick estimate and leave their cars for repairs. If they're unable to get their car to us, then we'll pick up and deliver their car once the repair is complete."

"Our number one goal is to make the repair experience as painless and hassle-free as possible. We've designed a clean, attractive, comfortable reception area where we can walk someone through every step of the repair process. We can also arrange for a rental car while their car is in the shop being repaired," said Sterling's chief operating officer Michael Giarrizzo, Jr.

Sterling Collision Centers was formed in September 1997 to create a branded national chain of owned stores. Sterling, purchased by Allstate Insurance a year ago, has collision repair facilities in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.
