eAutoclaims Receives New Hire Training Grant From Workforce Florida

eAutoclaims has received a Quick Response Training Program grant from Workforce Florida, Inc., to train 80 new full-time employees over the next two years. The total amount of the grant to eAutoclaims will be $85,380 over a 24-month period.

Workforce Florida is the state's chief workforce policy organization. Created by the Workforce Innovation Act of 2000, the public-private partnership supports and promotes economic growth through workforce development. The Quick Response Training Program provides grant funds for customized training for new or expanding Florida businesses that are creating new high-quality jobs.

"High quality jobs" are defined as those with an average annual wage of at least 115 percent of local or state private sector compensation rates. eAutoclaims is a company on the rise -- since January 1, 2002, eAutoclaims has added 22 new employees to its payroll.

"Our company is experiencing tremendous growth. We believe the assistance provided by the grant will allow us to add additional -- highly trained -- employees quickly, thereby providing better service to our clients," stated Eric Seidel, president and CEO of eAutoclaims.

Providing assistance to eAutoclaims in its application for the grant was St. Petersburg College. As part of the Quick Response Training Program, a local college, technical center or university is selected to supervise and manage the training program and grant funds. The funds are applied for on a per-employee basis, with reporting done monthly.

"The auto insurance industry sees real value in what we offer, and the demand for our services has grown exponentially," Seidel stated. "We moved to a larger corporate headquarters this past March which will allow us to accommodate our 80 new hires, and this training grant will be put to excellent use. We are pleased to be creating more jobs in the state of Florida."
