Holmes Auto Body, Inc. Implements Decision Support Services' EMSReview Automated Estimate Review Software

The implementation of EMSReview, an automated estimate review tool, is a big step in living up to that commitment with our insurance clients," says Holmes president and owner, Tom Holmes. <>"Not only does EMSReview give Holmes an effective tool to ensure estimates are written in compliance with their insurance clients' programs, but it also gives Holmes a way to check that each estimate contains everything it should. It also provides a wealth of information for use in evaluating their effectiveness in writing estimates", commented DSS president John Rix.
According to DSS, EMSReview works with all estimating systems and supports auditing in a mixed estimating system environment. In a matter of a couple of seconds, the estimate can be reviewed for compliance errors and omissions and let the writer know where he needs to look for exceptions.
EMSReview allows the shop to check for proper labor rates, maximums, repair vs replace, OE and alternative parts usage, adjustments for betterment, or specific line item checks. EMSReview uses a database of historical claims data and advanced mathematical methods to evaluate the repair content of an estimate. The tool can be used "on the spot" as an estimate is written, or it can be used at a central site where estimate data is being sent for review and approval.
