Safelite AutoGlass Partners with OneBeacon Insurance for Auto Glass Service, Claims Handling

Safelite AutoGlass, headquartered in Columbus, OH, has announced a new partnership with OneBeacon Insurance Group, Boston, MA. Safelite will provide auto glass and claims management services for OneBeacon's policyholders.

Under the new agreement, Safelite will act as the claims administrator for OneBeacon's auto glass program, OneBeacon Auto Glass Center, including taking first notice of loss, scheduling service appointments and processing auto glass claims invoices. In addition, Safelite will offer auto glass repair and replacement services to OneBeacon policyholders through its retail operation.

Safelite will administer all automotive glass claims for OneBeacon's policyholders, regardless of what glass company actually performs the work. Safelite associates will verify coverage and deductibles while on the telephone line with the policyholder; arrange for convenient mobile or in-shop service by Safelite, a network provider, or a glass shop of the policyholder's choosing; and handle invoice processing for OneBeacon Insurance Group. Safelite administers programs for more than 80 national and regional insurance carriers nationwide, with policyholder satisfaction rates averaging 98 percent.

Privately held Safelite Glass Corp. has representation in all 50 states. The company's 6,000 associates provide auto glass repair and replacement solutions for more than 2 million customers annually.
