Canada's Apprenticesearch.com Wins Major Award

The Halton Industry-Education Council in Canada has won the Award of Excellence in training from the Yves Landry Foundation, for its work in developing and making available an interactive web-based search procedure that links skilled trades employers with those young people looking for work in individual sectors.

Apprenticesearch.com contains skills information, job postings, links to apprenticeship sites, testimonials, news and events.

The Collision Industry Action Group was the first major employer sector that has featured the apprenticesearch.com program and currently has over 30 potential employees looking for apprentice opportunities in the auto refinish and collision repair industry, registered on the autobody jobs section of apprenticesearch.com

For more information and to use apprenticesearch.com to find an apprentice, access the collision repair industry site and use the green and yellow colored apprenticesearch.com logo as a link on the site opening page or on the Employment and Training pages.

For more information, or to place your ad on apprenticesearch.com, please call CIAG at 1-800-318-DENT and we will forward your ad to apprenticesearch.com and also post it on the largest industry employment ad page in Canada an www.ciia.com.

The Yves Landry Foundation is named after Yves Landry, former president of Chrysler Canada and a champion of the importance of skills building within industry. He died in 1998.

The award is one of a number that will be presented at the STARS Gala 2002, sponsored by the Yves Landry Foundation in November at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel ballroom.
