CertifiedFirst Network Teams Up with Toyota

The CertifiedFirst Network, a North American group of quality-rated auto body repair shops, and Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) U.S.A., Inc., have teamed up to extend the benefits of both the CertifiedFirst Network and the Toyota Certified Collision Center Program to Toyota dealership auto body shops in a single program enrollment process.

"By forming this strategic alliance with the CertifiedFirst Network, we encourage Toyota dealership auto body shops to take advantage of innovative benefits of the Network, which serve as a natural complement to our own certification program," said Randy Profeta, TMS manager of collision repair business development.

Ken Davis, market manager, OEM, Automotive Refinish, PPG, added, "This partnership continues to demonstrate the industry leadership position that Toyota is striving for."

Under this strategic alliance, Toyota dealers would be required to meet the standards of both the CertifiedFirst Network and the Toyota Certified Collision Center Program to fully take advantage of these benefits. Participants would pay a single combined fee to enroll in both programs, as opposed to paying the traditional separate fees to join the Toyota program and to participate in the CertifiedFirst Network.

"Toyota's recognition of the CertifiedFirst Network reflects the company's priority of providing customers with top notch service and support during the repair process," said Bill Reynolds, director, CertifiedFirst Network. "By meeting the standards set forth by both our Network and by Toyota's Certified Collision Center Program, Toyota dealership shops show their shops are among the best in the business." The agreement is effective immediately.
