DuPont Performance Coatings Aids DaimlerChrysler with Plastics Repair Guide
DaimlerChrysler has produced a plastics repair guide with the aid of DuPont Performance Coatings.
The 70-page guide provides technical information on repairs for both interior and exterior plastic parts. "The information in this publication has been developed for service and technical personnel to help determine the proper methods for repairing Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brand vehicles," said Scott Overly, dealer technical operations paint/body team specialist for DaimlerChrysler. DuPont Performance Coatings provided refinish information for DuPont Automotive, Standox and Spies Hecker finishes.
The Guide includes exterior and interior plastic identification charts, which are broken down into material code, family name and surface types. Those in turn are broken down into flexible plastics and rigid/semi-rigid plastics.
The booklet can be ordered by calling 800-890-4038 and specifying DaimlerChrysler publication # 81-170-00012. The cost is approximately $5.
