Free Website drpprograms.com Launches Campaign to Assist Collision Repair Shops

A free web site has been launched to assist collision repair owners in an effort to reform insurance company DRP processes in the automotive collision industry. The web site was founded by a former consultant in the auto collision industry with the goal of challenging insurance DRPs.

"The site was created for the independent shop owner who wants change in the DRP process," said Charles Nygard, the web site’s creator. "The DRP concept has created fear in the automotive collision industry," added Nygard, who has been involved in numerous DRP relationships as a consultant. Nygard also said, "Collision shop owners involved with DRPs will concede whatever the insurance company requests of them in order to keep the DRP out of the hands of a competitor. This creates an unfair advantage for insurance companies."

The web site also accumulates information on a variety of issues facing the collision shop owner and includes sections regarding the Consent Decree of 1963, insurance company violations and independent appraisal company issues. The site is free and information gathered within the site will be used to challenge unethical and unfair business practices in the collision repair market.
