ABRA Auto Body & Glass Selects Planet Salvage for Online Recycled Parts Procurement SolutionPlanet Salvage, an online marketplace for the automotive recycled parts and salvage vehicle industries, has signed a one-year contract with ABRA Auto Body & Glass to provide PartsNetwork, Planet Salvage's recycled parts pricing and procurement solution. ABRA, a Minneapolis-based damaged vehicle repair company, provides full-service collision repair, auto glass repair and replacement, and paintless dent removal.
PartsNetwork will be used by ABRA's repair centers, and will become an integral part of their current workflow and claims handling operations. PartsNetwork's technology allows ABRA's repair centers to efficiently locate and purchase quality recycled parts online, providing their insurance partners with faster repair service and lower repair costs. In addition, PartsNetwork offers ABRA's repair centers powerful information for managing their businesses, with comprehensive reporting about their recycled parts operations.
Planet Salvage secured the contract after the successful completion of a pilot program where selected ABRA repair centers tested PartsNetwork's functionality within their daily operations. PartsNetwork proved to be an extremely effective solution, providing the timesaving and economic benefits ABRA and its business partners value so highly.
"We have a reputation for providing quality service to our customers and business partners," commented Tim Adelmann, ABRA's Chief Operating Officer. "PartsNetwork is a sophisticated yet simple solution that allows our repair centers to provide insurance partners with reduced severity and improved control of their recycled parts usage."
"We're extremely proud to have ABRA, one of the leading collision repair consolidators, as our business partner," said Charles Lukens, President at Planet Salvage. "With repair facilities playing a critical role in managing auto claims, gaining ABRA as a client clearly illustrates the effectiveness and value of PartsNetwork in the overall claims process."
