ARA Convention Offers Variety of Learning Opportunities

The automotive recycling industry's biggest event, the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) 59th Annual Convention and Exposition, will be held this year in Salt Lake City, Utah, November 6-9, 2002.

Over 1,000 ARA members and other professionals in the automotive recycling industry will be on hand for the event featuring a wide range of non-stop educational seminars, industry roundtables, focus groups, and a variety of entertainment and non-business activities for attendees and their families. The ARA Expo is also open to all attendees to tour free of charge.

ARA has designed educational seminars for ARA's convention that will cover many of the most important trends and challenges facing automotive recycling professionals, including consolidation, hazardous materials shipping, new technologies, and e-commerce. ARA's annual convention is widely recognized as a great place to network, acquire skills, and access the information and products needed to maintain a competitive edge.

"Everyone that attends the convention and expo learns something that they can take back to their business", said ARA President, Phil Sheppard. "The ARA Convention & Expo continues to be more than just a conference to our members," Sheppard said. "It is an educational, networking, social and fun event all rolled into one."

The ARA 60th Annual Convention and Exposition will be held next year, October 1-4, 2003 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Founded in 1943, the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) has represented an industry dedicated to the efficient removal and reuse of automotive parts, and the proper disposal of inoperable motor vehicles. With programs such as the Certified Automotive Recycler Program (CAR) and other partnerships with automotive manufacturers, automotive recycling intends to continue to provide consumers with quality, low cost alternatives for vehicle replacement parts, while preserving our environment.
