CCC Introduces Web-Based Dispatch Feature of Autoverse Repair Management

CCC information Systems highlighted the Dispatch feature of CCC Autoverse(TM) Repair Management at the 2002 International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE). Designed to help seamlessly balance workload and optimize cycle times for multi-location collision repair facilities, Dispatch is a web-based feature that offers increased visibility into operations to deliver faster and more efficient service to vehicle owners - putting them back in their cars faster after an accident.

"The feature helps to not only balance workload across locations, but also allows users to dispatch assignments to be dispatched by the user to best match resources and skill sets at various facilities," said Jim Dickens, CCC's senior vice president of product management and marketing. "In addition, the process of reassigning the vehicles with Dispatch is seamless to both the repair facility and the insurer."

Dan Pettigrew, senior vice president of operations in Texas for Caliber Collision Center, adds, "Dispatch truly allows us to be a `no hassle' provider to both the consumer and the insurance carrier. We are able to move assignments to the most convenient repair facility from a central location without getting the insurance carrier involved in canceling and re-assigning the work. The process allows us to better serve the consumer without disrupting the information flow - the process is seamless to the insurer."

The centralization of assignment routing also makes the process seamless to the repair facilities within multi-location operations, so that more time may be spent repairing vehicles rather than on administrative functions.

Unique functions of the Dispatch feature include:

  • Assignment Dashboard - allows the user to view newly received assignments that need to be routed, as well as the insurance companies from which each assignment was received.
  • Dispatch Central - allows the user to transfer repair assignments among locations, thus helping to maximize productivity and reduce repair cycle time.
  • Shop Locator - allows the user to locate the repair facility closest to the damaged vehicle or most convenient to the vehicle owner. Pettigrew continues, "Dispatch also enhances our front-end administration function so that we truly serve as a single point of contact for insurers. By receiving assignments centrally, we have one point of contact in our call center communicating with one point of contact at the insurer's office to reconcile daily assignment transfers. Plus the product is extremely intuitive, very easy to use, and from a functionality perspective, not matched by any other product."

The CCC Autoverse product portfolio provides open process management among parties throughout the claims process. Built on open source technology, CCC Autoverse works with established estimating platforms that meet the CIECA 2.0 EMS standard to help increase productivity for users.
