PPG Names Victoria Holt Fiber Glass Businesses Vice President
Victoria M. Holt, vice president and general manager of performance films for Solutia, has been named vice president of PPG Industries' fiber glass businesses, effective Feb. 1. Holt will be responsible for PPG's reinforcements, and electronics and specialty materials businesses."Vicki brings a wealth of talents to our organization," said Charles E. Bunch, PPG president and chief operating officer. "During the past six years, she has managed three global businesses. In addition, she has a proven record in driving organizational change and extensive experience in sales and sales management."
Holt, 45, began her career with Monsanto in 1979 selling commodity and specialty chemicals from its New York office before becoming assistant to the chief executive officer.
In 1996 she was named vice president and general manager of Acrilan, a global acrylic fiber business that is part of Solutia, the chemicals business spun off by Monsanto in 1997. In 1998 she was named vice president of Saflex, a global business manufacturing the raw materials and plastic sheet used to make laminated glass for automotive and architectural applications.
She was named to her current position in 2000, where she is responsible for the manufacture of performance films for automotive and architectural OEM and aftermarket applications as well as the electronics industry.
