Honda/Acura Service Express Web Site Launched

In keeping with the auto manufacturers' commitments to independent repair shops, as described in a letter to U.S. Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D., on Sept. 26, 2002, American Honda Motor Company has launched a new Service Express Web site providing access to factory-authorized diagnostic and repair information for 1996 and newer vehicles. This is the same information that is made available to Honda and Acura dealers.

The Web site is updated nightly as new information becomes available, including:

  • Service manual procedures
  • Advanced diagnostic information
  • Electrical wiring diagrams
  • Service and campaign bulletins
  • ServiceNews (technician newsletter)
  • Body/collision repair information

Information is indexed by vehicle and can be searched by:

  • Symptom or fault code
  • Repair procedure
  • Keyword

The Web site can be accessed at www.ServiceExpress.Honda.com.

Auto manufacturers currently offering service information via the Internet include General Motors Corp., Hyundai, Volkswagen/Audi, and Volvo. Other automakers will be launching service Web sites over the next few weeks.
