Business Tools | Thursday February 13 Walt Davis and Lance Bull Join Fix Auto as Business Development ManagersTwo business development managers have joined Fix Auto. Walt Davis of Chicago has been named director of insurance relations, and Lance Bull of Santa Barbara, Calif. is the new business development manager for the Fix network of independently owned collision repair shops.Davis has spent more than 30 years in the auto insurance industry, beginning as a claims adjuster for USF&G. He joined Allstate in 1976 and held several management positions in New Mexico and Nevada before his move to the home office in Northbrook, Ill. in 1995. In 2000 he became a corporate level manager for the Allstate DRP (PRO), holding this position until he elected early retirement at the beginning of 2003. He has been a corporate representative to the National Association of Independent Insurers and has served as an Inter-company Arbitration Forum panel member. Davis's appointment marks the expansion of Fix's corporate staff outside of California, a trend that is likely to continue as Fix grows, according to President and Chief Operating Officer Doug Kelly. Bull joined Isuzu Motors America, Inc. in 1988 as a production and distribution manger. In 1992, he became a founding member and CFO of Lawyers Mortgage and Investment Company, one of the first companies to use on-line technology for the acquisition, warehousing, and resale of mortgage products. In 1995, Bull joined Akzo Nobel Coating Consulting Services, where he developed and implemented training courses, business development tools, and 20-group programs for body shop owners and managers. Most recently, he held a similar position with PPG, developing and delivering their suite of consulting tools and services.
