Business Tools | Thursday February 27 Roadsters Painted with DuPont Finishes Win Top AwardsTwo roadsters painted with DuPont Automotive Finishes were awarded top prizes at two recent, prestigious California rod and custom car shows.A 1932 Ford Roadster painted by Alloway’s Hot Rod, of Knoxville, Tenn., was named Most Beautiful Roadster at the Jan. 17-20 Grand National Roadster Show in San Mateo. Two weeks later, a ’33 Ford Roadster painted by Sam Foose of Solvang, Calif. and built by Leonard Lopez of Dominator Motorsports, Brentwood, Calif., won D’Elegance Award at the Oakland Rod, Custom and Motorcycle Show. The ’32 Ford is a solid red, finished in DuPont Finishes’ ChromaSystem. The roadster also took top prizes at Sacramento, Calif. and Portland, Ore. shows. The ’33 model, painted with a ChromaSystem® silver, was built for Jeremy McGrath, former motocross champion.
