Business Tools | Thursday February 27 DuPont Performance Coatings Donates $200,000 to Florida Community CollegeDuPont Performance Coatings (DPC) has donated $200,000 to Florida Community College at Jacksonville for expansion of the college’s collision repair and refinishing training center.The donation, augmented by a donation of cash and equipment from Southeast Toyota Motor Sales and Toyota Motor Sales of America, was made at a ceremony at the Jacksonville school on Feb. 14. The state of Florida will match the DuPont/Toyota donation. Participating in the ceremony from DuPont were Ed Donnelly, group vice president of DuPont Coatings & Color Technologies; Doug Moore, vice president, Refinish Americas; John Gallagher, DPC national sales manager; Harry Hall, east regional sales manager, and Al Salas, district sales manager, Florida Region. “We are pleased to make this donation as part of DuPont’s continuing effort to support the collision repair industry and fill a key industry need,” Salas said. “The training center will help train the next generation of collision repair professionals in the Southeast United States, and it will also provide continuing accredited training for existing collision repair professionals.” Construction started on the 15,000-square-foot DuPont/Toyota/Lexus Training Center last week. The project, which is expected to take approximately nine months, will include two state-of-the-art spray booths, prep stations and application equipment, as well as DuPont’s most recent technological advancements in color formulation, coatings technology, and information systems. ©2003 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
