Business Tools | Tuesday June 17 ASA Announces ASA-Nebraska New AffiliateThe Automotive Service Association (ASA) board of directors has unanimously approved ASA-Nebraska as the newest affiliate in the ASA organization."The ASA members in Nebraska were unwavering in their efforts to gain affiliation," said ASA Chairman Kevin Caldwell, AAM. "Their commitment to professionalism and working together to advance the automotive service profession is right in step with ASA's guiding mission. We look forward to working together for many years." George Witt, AAM, owner of George Witt Service Inc. in Lincoln, Neb., and president of ASA-Nebraska, said he initiated the process of establishing the affiliate because the automotive service industry is growing increasingly complex. "Business is getting tougher. By establishing a tie to ASA and holding meetings locally where we can share information and experiences, I felt we could better ourselves and our businesses," Witt said. Enthusiasm for and participation in the local ASA meetings has grown, Witt added. "We've been successful launching the affiliate in Nebraska because we have fun, we help each other out and we're learning how to do our jobs better." ©2003 Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT | FEATURED
