Business Tools | Friday July 11 Carter & Carter International Acquires EMTEC GroupChicago-based Carter & Carter Internationa, an International automotive solutions provider, has acquired the EMTEC Group of companies .EMTEC is a provider of technical people development solutions from apprenticeships to adult learning and currently operate in five international markets. “This is a clear indication of our intention to support our joint clients in addressing the on going and fundamental issue of people competence in the retail sector,” said Phil Carter, Carter & Carter Group Chief Executive Officer. “Each business individually has a strong client base and reputation for delivering people development programs that create a measurable business improvement for the retailer and manufacturer. We are now able to offer a uniquely broad proposition to our clients, from recruiting and developing apprentices to executive leadership, and the necessary support services and facilities that underpin comprehensive people development strategies.” The $36 million acquisition has doubled the Carter & Carter group business to 530 employees operating in 11 countries.
