Business Tools | Monday October 6 NACE Town Hall Events to Focus on Automated Claims, Industry IssuesThe 2003 International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) will include an Automated Claims Processing Town Hall that will look specifically at the steps in the claims processing procedure, and a Come and Be Heard Town Hall Luncheon that will cover collision industry issues facing today’s repair professionals.The Automated Claims Processing Town Hall will be held from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5. Tom McGee, executive vice president of I-CAR, will moderate this town hall, which will focus on the six steps in the claims process. These steps have been identified as First Report of Loss, Required Services, Dispatch and Assignment, Assessment and Repair, Negotiation and Settlement, and Closing and Post-Repair. Representatives from companies involved in each step of the process will be part of the town hall discussion. The “Come and Be Heard” Town Hall Luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. Brian Sullivan, Risk Information Inc., will moderate this event, which will include panelists from different segments of the collision repair industry. The panel will include an independent repair shop owner, a consolidator, and a legislative representative, as well as representatives from training and education, a paint company, the insurance industry and an industry trade publication. Attendees who pre-register for these events will be given the opportunity to submit questions for consideration via e-mail, or submit written questions on-site for consideration. The respective town hall moderator will pose attendees’ questions to panelists. “We anticipate that both town hall events will have informative and lively discussions among panelists, and that attendees will benefit greatly from the varying perspectives presented on many of the industry’s most pressing and challenging issues,” said Dana Bellantone, NACE show director. NACE 2003, the world’s collision repair event, will be held Dec. 4-7, at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida, USA, and is expected to draw an attendance of 30,000+ from around the globe. It will feature more than 45 educational sessions and an Exposition with approximately 500 exhibiting companies.
