CAA Hosts Toys for Tots Model Truck Competition

The California Autobody Association (CAA) East Bay Chapter will host its sixth annual “Toys for Tots” Model Truck Competition at its November General Membership Meeting. This fund raising event generates funds and toys for Toys for Tots and also for scholarships for deserving individuals aspiring to have a career the Automotive Industry.

A turn out of more than 200 people is expected for the event to see the wild schemes and body fabrications that the participants have created with Nylon big rig scale toy trucks. Prizes will be awarded for most unique entries and a people’s choice award. After the contest all trucks will be auctioned off in a silent auction, with all proceeds to benefit Toys for Tots.

What is unique about this year is that the East Bay CAA Chapter has challenged the other chapters in California to start their own toy truck competitions in hope of making this a statewide competition. Not only would it be a great deal of fun for everyone but a great fundraiser as well. According to the CAA East Bay participants, "The connection with this charitable donation program is invaluable to our industry."
