Sherwin-Williams Opens Its 134th Branch

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Corp. (SWAFC) has opened its newest Branch, in North Aurora, Illinois on November 24, 2003.

The Aurora location is a satellite of the Chicago Branch and will allow SWAFC to expand service in the northeastern Illinois and western Chicago market.

Derick Lofgren will serve as Branch Operations Manager and will report to Ray Mullen, Area Operations Manager. Bill Danielak will serve as Area Sales Manager, responsible for the sales and market share growth of the market.

“Sherwin-Williams Branch Operations has seen tremendous growth potential in the northeastern Illinois region. This location was strategically placed to provide the best possible service to collision repair facilities in the area,” said Lofgren. “I am honored to have been chosen to manage this location, and am pleased to continue serving our customers in greater Chicago.”

The new location will provide:

  • Direct distribution of SWAFC automotive paints, products and associated products, such as masking tape and spray guns
  • Service capabilities to body shops, production shops, fleets, jobbers and manufacturers
  • Mixing and delivery service
  • SWAFC sales and technical representation to answer customer inquiries and requests
  • Training, including product and management courses.

SWAFC has opened six new branches this year - in Mobile, Ala., Chattanooga, Tenn., Albany, N.Y., North Dallas, Texas, and Florence, Ky. The openings bring SWAFC’s total number of branches in the U.S. to 134.
