Business Tools | Tuesday June 15 LKQ Corporation Acquires Albert Lea Auto SalvageLKQ Corporation has acquired Albert Lea Auto Salvage, Inc., a privately held company that operates a recycled OEM automotive replacement parts facility. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.Located approximately ninety miles south of Minneapolis on forty acres of land in Albert Lea, MN, this business will service the greater Minneapolis and St. Paul area, and provide a strategic link within LKQ's network of facilities. "Once fully incorporated into our network, this investment is expected to enhance our ability to further penetrate the Minnesota market," said Joe Holsten, LKQ's President and Chief Executive Officer. "The trailing annual revenue of this business is approximately $5 million." This acquisition is not expected to be dilutive to the earnings per share of LKQ; however, for 2004 the accretion is expected to be less than $0.01 per share on a fully diluted basis.
