NACE 2004 Receives Global Industry Endorsements and Expands Educational Conference with 63% New Programs

Five industry organizations have announced their endorsement of the 2004 International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE), entitling members of these groups to a discount on the NACE Congress Package registration fee. The endorsers of NACE 2004 are: the Association Internationale Des Reparatuers En Carrosserie (AIRC), the California Autobody Association (CAA), the Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF), the California Automotive Wholesalers’ Association (CAWA) and the National Auto Body Council (NABC).

Members of the Automotive Service Association (ASA) – the NACE sponsor – will also receive a discount on the NACE Congress registration fee.

“ASA is very pleased with the response to the NACE endorsement program. We couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to work closely with these distinguished groups,” said Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. “Providing avenues for other organizations to be recognized and create value for their memberships through this program is gratifying and clearly demonstrates NACE is an event for the entire collision industry.”

Endorsing organizations promote NACE to their respective audiences and receive recognition in NACE literature and on the NACE website. These groups have the opportunity to earn NACE points based on their members’ level of participation in this year’s event.

In other NACE news, the NACE educational Conference will have two new tracks, Sales & Marketing and Estimating, an increased number of focused sessions for dealers, jobbers and claims professionals, new 45-minute “crash course” sessions in several tracks, as well as many new speakers and instructors.

In addition to the new education tracks, there will be Management, Vehicle Repair, General and Lifestyle tracks with more than 50 targeted sessions comprising this year’s Conference. There will be many new sessions, speakers and topics, industry association training (including I-CAR), a Claims Process Pavilion, and specific sessions for collision repair and claims professionals that will earn credit from the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) and CertifiedFirst respectively.

There will also be a special international event – IBIS@NACE – that will focus on the latest issues, trends and developments in the global collision repair industry. These discussions will include the implications of the vehicle technology explosion and accident trends, supply chain pressures, such as parts procurement initiatives, and insurer-ownership of bodyshops.

“This will be the collision industry’s most comprehensive, cutting-edge educational conference ever,” said Dana Bellantone, NACE show director. “Only at NACE will attendees find such a wide array of sessions designed for virtually every segment of the collision repair industry,” added Bellantone.

To register for the NACE Conference, visit www.NACExpo.com. The Conference Package includes one ticket to any one seminar or workshop in each of the nine timeslots. It also includes the Thursday morning General Session and Keynote Address by Kyle Petty, Thursday’s Happy Hour on the Show Floor, the Friday luncheon with Richard Flint, the Saturday morning General Session with Jim “The Rookie” Morris, a NACE 2004 briefcase and commemorative pin, plus admittance to the NACE Exposition and the SEMA and AAPEX shows. Session tickets may also be purchased individually. IBIS@NACE has a separate registration fee and this event in not included in the Conference Package.

NACE, the world’s collision repair event, will be held Nov. 3-6, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, and is expected to draw an attendance of 35,000+ from around the globe. It will feature a variety of educational sessions addressing the needs of all industry segments, as well as an Exposition with approximately 500+ exhibiting companies.
